I don't know why I interpreted the Calendar challenge to mean "take a image that would be representative of a month for a calendar" when the majority of images seem to represent a to-heck-with-the-description-it's-really-another-free-study interpretation...

That's why I absolutely regret not following suit and submitting this, because I know it would have done much, much better than the one I submitted. Oh well, maybe next time...

This is stunning. Couldn't ask for a better sunrise shot. Love the reflection and the bursts of light streaking from behind the trees. Adding it to my favs for sure!!

I love this photograph. Reminds me of when I use to go fishing early in the morning at the lake. I can smell the fresh air, I feel like putting a light coat on, where my tackle box and my shimano reel. You picture makes me feel as comfortable as being there. I loved sitting by the water or on a boat, even if the fish was not biting, reflecting on life. You have captured a great moment in time. Great job and straight to my fav's list.

Definitely a gorgeous shot, no "critique" necessary here. This is beautiful, Skip.

I agree thinking of the calendar comment you made, although i missed telling my month in the subject row on my photo! :)

But i'm also new here, so i should keep a low profile, anyway, your picture above is totally great! The fog almost looks like steam in the weak sun behind the trees, and the colors! Congrats!

That is just great. You really made a real error there (I assume) :/

Very nicely observed and what a lovely time of day.

Kick yourself a little harder. This would be a top 10, easy. Then again, that's one less image ahead of mine. ;-P
