 When I returned home from BC this past spring, Jon brought me these gorgeous orchids as a welcome home gift. Amazingly I have managed to keep them alive :-)

pp: very basic, mostly global adjustments and some cloning out of extra flowers, a hit or two of NIK.

An appealing image that meets the challenge well

What a lovely vibrancy you have captured here Susan. The lighting and detail is excellent, I̢۪m really intrigued how you have done it, its nicely illuminated from the front but equally appears to be backlit too? And then we have that gorgeous background which again leaves me intrigued, is it outdoors seen through net or a soft focus patterned cloth. The shape of the flowers lends itself to your sympathetic composition nicely. All in all Susan a lovely job well done and thanks for your entry.

Beautiful shot. Top few. (I bought a similar plant for my daughter - within challenge dates - and neglected to shoot it before handing it over. I'm kicking myself.)
