| Would be sooo much better if you just cropped the bottom inch off, or at least removed that leaf in the lower right corner. Then it would be an 8, now a 6 |

| while you have an interesting composition, this isn't a macro shot. a macro shot basically fills the frame with the subject, or offers no other distracting elements to take attention away from the subject. |

| Not a macro by any means, but it's a gorgeous picture! I'm going to give it a fairly good score just for being beautiful. (cool title too!) |

| very good work. dynamic composition. subtle but effective color. unique. keeps my eye moving. i would preferr to see the focus nearer so that the closest leaf is totally clear 8 |

| Very, very beautiful and approaches macro as the ground gets closer to the camera, but not a macro picture imo... Although I like the picture and composition very much and have added to my faves! |

I'm not really sure what technically makes up a 'macro', however, to ME, this is more like a close up. Macro would show very close up details of one subject. I know that's not a 'technical' deffinition, however, it is what I'm looking for in the challenge. The challenge description says "extreme close up"
ANYWAY, that being said, I do like the DOF. Focus is right on where my eyes want to see it. LIghting is good. Angle and framing/cropping are good. I like the diagonal division of the shot. There is a strange darker blue blurr in the upper left of the photo that draws my attention, But otherwise a nice photo. ~Heather~ |
