| This is a great shot except for the sharp shadow. I think you should have done the lighting without a flash - same exposure, no shadow. |

| The left is cropped too close to the apple and the shadow from your lighting is a bit distracting. Looks like you just used a flash. |

| The simple, clean composition is good, but the flash ruins it. Try using some more interesting lighting, such as window light, or indandescent lamps. Then the shadows will be smoother and the texture and color of the apple will be vastly improved. |

| Very nicely focused and the color is good, too. The light reflection on the apple is kind of distracting, it looks like you might have used a flash to take your picture. If this isn't a flash reflection then your light source was too directly on the apple causing the reflection and hard shadow. |

| Is this composition-a trend. I see it everywhere. It was off balance hundreds of years ago and still is. |
