Meets the Challenge: Perfectly!
Composition: I cannot find fault with the composition. Good cropping. Nice neutral colors in the background and the non-subject items help bring out the red in the apples.
Technical Quality: Very Good. Colors perfect, focus very good. I would also (like others below) liked to have seen the "meat" of the bitten apple with more light on it. Maybe a little fill flash with a make-shift bounce would have helped lighten it up or maybe could have been lightened up a little more in a levels adjustment. Focus very good, no post-processing issues noticed.
Creativity: Good, although not what I would consider extremely creative.
Overall Conclusion: Beautiful photograph, well shot and very appealing with lots of warmth expressed.

| A very rich photo, nicely lit and composed. It doesn't grab me, but I can appreciate its technical merit. I can't fault it in that respect. |

| you need to light from the front as well as the side... still life shouln't have shadows that are under or to the side IMHO... one easy thing would be to use the flash... |

Very nice shot. I really like the lighting in this shot. Nice and bright in the areas that need highlighted but nice shadows where needed. I would have liked to have seen the white in the bite of the apple a little brighter but that doesn't detract from this photo.

| Love this composition. The only thing I'd prefer is for the apple bite ot be out of the shadow somewhat. But it sure is better than being over exposed. All in all a very nice image. |
