 I am wondering why this image gets low votes. I was guessing something around 6.2-6.4
While shooting this scene I made sure it was horizontal (even the pacific ocean on the right looks tilted, it's not). I had my son just doing his own things there, nothing was staged. I waited for the perfect clouds. On the right is the strong sun still burning hot. I used a deflector next to my lens. I processed in PS but made sure the whole scene was not overblown in processing. All had to stay natural and close to how it really looks in real. A lot of thought for this shot about framing and exposure settings. The pov is to make it have more depth with some strong leading lines to see how big this whole scene is. Including my son gives it a sense of natural life.

Greetings from the Critique Club! I am impressed by the amount of work you put into this shot, and how bummed out you may feel by its poor score.

Like the commenters, I see the landscape and am drawn in by it...I have to admit that your son, cute as he may be, is simply a distraction. After all look at that gorgeous scenery he is competing with! His body language seems to reflect that he just isn't interested in what's going on around him, so his disengagement comes across. The post work is nice but as you must realize by now, even the most painstaking amount of post won't help an image that is weak. For me personally, bleachy clouds - like those to the right of the pic - are another distraction t draw my eye away from the mountains.

This is a beautiful image. IMO it would be better without the child, the eye is drawn towards him and away from the gorgeous scenery.
