Story of courage, plea for help,
friendship. Lee Sammons 33years old.
I have only known Lee for a short while, I’m doing my best to
help him. He has no medical aid, no income, he
has been in a ‘government’ hospital for two years.
In this time his condition has worsened due to wrong diagnosis,
and hospital negligence.
Lee has chronic osteomyelitis. Severe infection which eats away
the bone and bone marrow. ( bacteria found is staphylococcus aurums)
He is bed ridden and in constant pain.
Osteomyelitis is curable, it should not be life threatening.
Seemingly there is only one specialist in Southern Africa who has had
phenomenal success with this type of infection. Unfortunately he
is in the private medical sector, in another province, out of Lee’s
financial reach.
Currently the infection has spread to the pelvis, the future is
looking dismal.
Lee is extremely low at the moment, very depressed.
Please use my address to contact Lee, for whatever reason.
I have the full medical history if anyone is interested.

Very nice picture. I can't wait to read the story, but very well done. This is a gorgeous black and white and the emotion and look on the man's face is moving. |

You tease! ;-) My only feedback would be to remove that magazine he's holding and to go for a simpler, flat background. You might also want to get lower for this shot to go for a more dynamic angle. Other than that, this is a very nice shot for this challenge. |

I promise to come back and read the story.
I guess when I know it I will understand it better.
Until then it's not my favourite. Then again it is an 'alternate idea' which I tend to promote therefore a 6 |
