Again, i don't think selective desat works on images that are supposed to be strong. It just makes it all look playful and cheesy. |

It would be better if the cross wasn't so cheesy. |

Gah yet another picture using selective desaturation. In this case there is at least a reason albeit a touch hackneyed. 7 |

i like it.. reminds me of a shot from a M. Night movie.
The only thing is, a cross made of new boards in timber? It lacks realism, in a sense... a human wouldn't be buried in the timber today, and if s/he was buried years ago, why does the cross have newly cut boards? My first impression was, a dead dog. But then again, who ever said dogs can't be heros? |

I donĂ¢€™t believe the desaturation helps in this photo. I believe it takes my eye away from the hero and focusing it on the flowers. I wish your photograph would of told whom you hero was it keeps me guessing. The cross seems new [maybe you a trying to portray a new resting place] but I believe it would have been better worn by the weather [old wood]. But I will have to say your lighting and angle were good. |

A nice pic. Not maybe the most heroic in the challenge but definitely has a nice feeling. |
