Probably the best example yet of selective desaturation without a valid purpose. Your use of it here has actually managed to draw the eye AWAY from what I assume was meant to be the focus of this picture. If the wheel-thing was supposed to be the focus then we really need to be able to see better what it is. 5

Working for a fire department I may be biased but I love this photo. It may have been even more impactful if the red hose cart were a little lower or higher in the frame.

I like the picture, but I don't see the point of selectively desaturating the wheel in the background. It has no relation to the subject and point of the picture.

At first I was thinking that a closer, more intimate look would have been better. As I watched your image, I realized that it is intimate in a different way... it include's the subjects surroundings and life tools. Good work
