Try as I might, I do not see a 'waldo' in this picture. Being that the subject of the contest was to hide person in an otherwise personless photo, I think you hid him to well. That being said, the rest of the photo doesn't really grab my attention. The focal point is the hole in the absolute center of the frame. The dirt pattern is interesting but not enough to have your viewers attention captured. Lighting and focus are good as well as post processing compression and sharpening.

Keep submitting and keep shooting! I see this is your first entry... Glad to have you on board!

is the person buried?

Nice try. Cute idea. BUT I can't find Waldo. He must be hidden, but spotable to qualify for the challenge.. Personally, I don't think you qualified, unless one of those grains of sand is a bug of some sort. But Waldo the crab is still in his hole as best I can tell. Really cute idea though. If I'm wrong, and he is visable I'll find him and up the score by 2.

I am not sure if this is snow or sand but if that is Waldo buried under the snow it must have been cold, brrr! The idea is good I like it. That is sand right?

I'm not really seeing where the person is in this photo. It looks like an animal hole to me, where the animal is pushing sand out of his hole, but no person. Sorry if I'm not looking hard enough.
About the photo, The angle and framing/cropping are good. I like how you have the entire subject in the photo, and it fills the frame nicely. I thought maybe of not having the hole centered, but when I pictured not centered, it looked kind of silly, so in this case, I think that centering is a good choice. The lighting is good, not bright spots or distracting shadows. focus is nice as well. the sand is very defined. All it needs is a person. Good luck in the challenge.

Nope. Needs a waldo, this is a tease. (PM me, if I'm wrong) Low contrast and other than the tease, low interest, too. 5 Swash

I might be missing this one, but I do not see a human being in this photograph.

Its a very good print, I don't see how there is a person inside. Good job however.
