Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Augustus...
This is a rather nice portrait photo. The expression on the child's face is excellent :) There are two basic problems with this photograph where DPC is concerned. 1 - I believe a larger image would have worked much better. I believe your image is too far under the maximum size requirements. I normally try to use the 640 pixel maximum on the long edge of the photo so details are as visible as possible. 2 - I believe you may have missed the theme of the challenge with this shot. The theme of the challenge was to 'hide' a person in your photograph...
Keep up the good efforts :)

Nice moment. But you didn't meet the challenge. |

Nice photo of a cute kid. Just doesn't meet the challenge of "Hiding Waldo". So can't give more than a score of 5. And that's a shame because the photo is really a great photo. Nicely focused, good color, well executed. Just doesn't meet the challenge. |

lol what cutie. I like the composition: adding the "mother" but leaving the child as the main character. Good job. Jacko. 8 |

Good focus and color. Is your "waldo" the baby? If so, the idea was to hide waldo and this isn't very hidden. (If I missed something here, please PM me with Waldo's location and the photo name, I will update my comments and score.) Cute expression! A little too much glare on top of the baby's head and the mother's face. 5 Swash |

Think this is a great candid portrait, Nice lighting and focus. Don't think it meets the challenge though. |

hide a person in your otherwise person-less photo? |

I found him! He isn't really hiding though or is he supposed to be hiding behind mama? |

Well, not exactly hidden, but definately a cutie. The lighting on the babies head, and the womans face is just a bit harsh. Nice job of blurring the background. This has a snapshot feel to it, but it is cute. I think that the angle and framing/cropping are ok. color is also good. good luck in the challenge. |

Good focus and nice composition, however it doesn't seem to meet the challenge unless you are suggesting the child is looking forward to reading "Where's Waldo" - even if so it's still a little too far from the topic though. |
