I'm thinking that a sickle found outside in the wintertime snow would make no sense to the person finding it...til they step into the barn and trip over the body on the floor! Muwahahahahaa!! I'm not overly fond of in-your-face gore, I think suspense is much more effective because so much is left to the mind.
As usual I'm the model for both corpse (thank gawd it didn't take many shots, that floor was COLD) and about-to-be-discoverer of same body. Original idea was to be a suicide by hanging with the body in the doorway, but when my friend found the sickle a whole new wheel started spinning into action.
pp: global adjustments, desat, NIK.
Post-Challenge...needless to say I was not at all happy to get DQ'd in the middle of a challenge with a score in the high 6.7s.
Yes, I knew I was pushing the envelope with this entry. But other forms of compositing are allowed so I decided it was worth it. And frankly, even without the figure in the doorway, the pic is still very strong on its own.
It was an SC member who reported me. And oddly enough, an SC member who ended up with the blue. No, not suspicious at all. |
Disqualification Details |
You must create your entry from 1 or more captures of a single scene (defined as a scene whose overall composition/framing does not change). The substitution of the figures in the two exposures constitutes the creation of a new scene. |
