 I wasn't going to enter anything in the FS but was convinced by a teammate to put this in last minute. When I woke up the next morning to see this at 5.0 with 5 votes I rued the decision. So color me amazed to find a proof request in my mailbox this morning.

Our Bluebirds nested again this year after taking a year off. This is on fledge day, with the Papa providing both needed first flight strength and encouragement for his brood. I was amazed how he could squeeze it just enough to get the beak closed but not enough to pop it. I have another where he's managed to snag at least 3 moths on the wing, all without losing the one he already had in his beak. Amazing birds.
