You will doubtless find it hard to believe that the location is central Iowa - I did :) We were over at Des Moines for the state fair photography salon and stayed the weekend. Spent Saturday looking for Weather shots . . . remember how that was the week 9/10 of us didn't have any weather and ended up punting? Well, me, too. I thought I'd at least have an afternoon when the sun was shining and there were pretty clouds in the sky over cornfields, but no. Anyway, I'd planned to go to Ledges State Park, so even though it was totally overcast and gray, we went. Didn't know the road down to the parking area was washed out in late spring and summer rains :( So we drove around to the bottom of the main canyon which is on the flood plains of the Des Moines River. We were driving along when I saw this and more from the road. We just had to find a place to park and walk back . . . I've always wanted to do a swamp in Florida and could NOT believe my luck LOL

Really happy with this one . . . the image, the processing, the votes so far and it's the last night of voting.
