I really can not believe this came so high! The ladybug was on the other side of a piece of glass, which wasn’t very clean, which explains the speckles. I was quite disappointed as I didn’t think this would have affected the photos quality quite as badly as it did, but I submitted it anyway. And am now glad I did. Thank you all for your comments. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to e-mail me. |

Nice looking shot. I would've liked to seen it rotated though. |

A good angle on this one. I think that if the bugs head were better exposed you would find an invasion of privacy look on his face. " None of the other guys ever looked at me from there, look". |

Good shot. The white specks in the sky are a slight distraction. |

very fun macro -- it feels the tiniest bit fuzzy -- is that due to the camera or focal plane? the scratches/dust in the sky portion are kinda distracting -- and other than despeckle (which would make everything else that much fuzzier) I don't know what you could do to fix them -- somebody give this person a medium format film camera with a serious macro lens and watch out ;-) |

This is very nice. The colors are great, as is the composition and your interpretation of the chalolenge theme is right on. |

Great photo composition. Unfortunately, the sky looks a bit spotty, and the one spot on the leaf is distracting. |

The leaf appears to be a bit out of focus and there are lots of noise on the blue sky but still in an interesting shot. Original idea as well. |

A really nice catch, especially that spash of red on the wing cover, but it could be better focused. White speckles in the sky detract, as well. |

great viewpoint. Almost like the bug is interested in you :) Not sure if that's stuff on your lens causing the streaks and white spots in the sky |

Hmm... some things came out well on this photo, and some things didn't. The looking up portion for the challenge is perfectly covered. The color in the picture is great - nice reds, blues, and greens. You have some great detail in the plant, with even a bit of fuzz for show on the tips. I don't like the cropping on this image, though. Your sky is plain (not your fault, obviously, unless you had multiple nice days to attempt this shot) and seems to show off scratches (perhaps from your lense??)... As well, the bug isn't really in focus. I mean, the image is sharp and detailed, not blurry, but there just is no real sense of texture to these objects, or depth. It's a good picture overall, don't get me wrong - there just is room for improvement. |

Nice composition. Good macro work. It would be totally satisfying if the junk in the sky was not there. |

I would have liked more detail on the lady bug, but under the conditions, this probably wasn't possible (bright sky and all). Good colors, but there also seems to be some dirt on your lense maybe? |

This is an excellent macro shot! It looks like there is a little 'noise' in the blue sky area of the photo. I can't really tell what is causing it... |

Beautiful concept. I think the blown pixels in the sky part of the image is distracting. Looks over sharpened. Still, I have to call it a nice capture. |

Very nice shot. Looks like you need to clean your lens though. Those dots in the sky look to be from that. |
