 done for the resolution side challenge for january

my theme is composites, overlays or textures ..

i used this photo i took ages ago as an overlay ..


outside temp today is over 42degrees celsius .. 107.6f .. :(
so i spent some time going with the flow on this edit .. i had no plan for a final result ..
this is chiara in a lake at Bendalong .. added some stuff..

her sister is called georgia .. they are twins .. and they are almost indistinguishable .. they often dont know who they are when i show them a photo .. !! ..
anyway .. they have just turned 5 and their wonder at our world is beautiful to see ..
its a sad thing that many of us lose that childlike fascination ..

Those who are childlike are always teachable. This is such a beautiful photo, I never noticed it before because I̢۪m not on the side challenge, I truly love it. And I̢۪m adding it as a fave!

Beautiful shot of a beautiful child and a beautiful use of b&w. You come up with the best overlays, too. It would be great on its own.

This is a fabulous photo, Roz. I love that little girl, so engrossed in her watery world of wonder (and, yes, where does that world go as we get older?). The overlay is lovely.

Nothing like a happy childhood! Beautiful capture and overlay.
The only unforeseen problem is the distortion of Chiara's right arm due to the reflection of water and shadow play. Otherwise, this is a superb image

Very subtle overlay works really well to give this a mystic feeling. I love the strands of hair across the face.. it adds to the intensity of the child's exploration. Beautifully done.

Curiosity and fearlessness. There is a larger story here about adults. Your overlay is so subtile that it's almost unnoticed, in a good way.

Even cast out to sea with no hope left, à child would play, like a flyer for a disaster adventure movie.
