 Well I can sort of hear you all now saying how this exemplifies the passing of time. Fall: the year has past the trees have shed their leaves and winter is nearing. Fence: Its probably as old as the finishing school that it protects, age,oxidization and pollution leaving it a bit battered looking. Besides the digital clock shots I took really suck! LOL! Enjoy.
Post: Rotate. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness and contrast, hue and saturation. USM. Cloned an extremely small white spot off the fence and dodged the fence a bit. Crop. Resize. USM. Well....then I had a look at it again. So I went back to the original size of the edited image and did a layer of dry brush with gausian blur and an increased saturation. I lowered the opacity to 35% and merged down. Then I did a major crop so much so that the first edit was in a vertical presentation and the second in horizontal. Why...the later edits gave more focus to the age of the fence and the great fall trees. Cloned a piece of 2x4 out between the near slats of the fence as well as a small piece of road that was between to of the near finials.

I just love this image too much to score it anything but high, but I do admit that I am having a hard time latching onto the passing of time concept.

I think this is a nice shot, but I do not see the connection to the challenge. Maybe a little over the top on the processing as well. 5.

i see how this shot relates to the passing of time.

BUT it was something i had to think on for awhile (went through and viewed a bunch last nght and came to vote today.) i hope u do good in the challenge but if not i just wanted to let u know that the subject may be alittle confusing as to the relation of time passing in the shot.

Great picture -- the fence gives my eye something to follow throughout the image and it's very easy to look at. The focus may be a bit soft, and while it is obviously a photograph of a specific time, I just don't see any 'time passing" while I look at it.
