 The title is a shortened version of a quote by Louisa May Alcott (Little Women) which goes - "I think she is growing up, so begins to dream dreams, and have hopes and fears and fidgets, without knowing why or being able to explain them".
This is Ivy my Goddaughter and whilst minding her the other day thought I would take her photo for the challenge. Most of the images where her laughing and smiling and this was the single image where I seemed to captured the moment in between and it made me wonder what was going through her mind, I just couldn't put my finger on it. I found this quote and to me it seemed to fit - or maybe she was over having her photo taken and I'm just having a 'deep' moment.

You have captured a sense of deep intimacy usually lacking from photographic portraits. I'm conflicted about the artificial color palette, but in a way I think it elevates the emotion of the shot as something very powerful and personal.

My top rated image in this challenge. Lovely fine detail yet creamy smooth and those eyes together with her expression....so young but already reflecting so much human depth, perception and awareness of the world just as your title suggests.
