 Shot near the Al Madam Ghost Town in Sharjah, UAE. I had my drone in my bag and wasn't really planning to use it, until right when we were wrapping up shooting, at around 8 a.m., we noticed this large group of camels wandering on the outskirts of the town. I got on the roof of one of the abandoned buildings and got my drone up in the air as quickly as I could.

I got maybe 10 snaps before an angry man on a 4-wheeler came out of nowhere and told me to knock it off, because my drone was agitating his camels! I was never below 200 feet while I was shooting, and I didn't think they could hear it, but I got my drone back into my bag and apologized for the trouble.

This kind of shot has been done many times, but it's one that I've always wanted to try, and I'm so glad I got the chance this trip. Thanks to all for the great votes and comments!

This is absolutely amazing. I spent a LOT of time trying to figure out where the camels were! Finally located them on zoom. I've never tried droning, but this makes me want to get off my keister and give it a shot (pun intended). :-) GORGEOUS photo. Thank you and congrats on the blue!

No doubt it was going to win, it's a super shot! I'm quite sure it's the first time with a drone podium.

It takes some time to see the (real) camels. I was thinking of those Jordanian sand vases at first. Nice shot. A 9 from me

oh MY GOODNESS .. !!!! .. how incredible this is .. if this doesnt ribbon i'll be very disappointed .. those long shadows are works of art in themselves ..
