my theme .. taking photos and doing stuff to them .. more or less .. and maybe experimenting a bit ..

for the March side challenge

was at the gym and looked thru the window .. thought of the 'into or out of the frame II' challenge .. took quite a few photos on my phone ...
i liked that the window framed the vehicles coming into and out of the shot .. but because the challenge was minimal editing .. i decided that the tones were too dull and was a bit boring SOOC ..
putting this series in our side challenge .. rather than them being unloved in a folder on my pc forever ..
i havent cropped the photos .. :)

It would be fun in expert mode to move the yellow legs just a bit in each frame.

The progressive change from frame to frame is simultaneously subtle AND obvious. Hmmm...

keep going.

your mind (not just your mind, everyone's mind) is full of closed doors that you don't even know are there, or don't know are closed.

keep going and something will swing open.

You've taken the challenge 'into or out of the frame' and redefined it into a triptych. I think you should experiment more with this.. so many possibilities!

I tried the pics against a white background .. it lacked impact to me ..
so them I tried a black background.. without the thin white borders it looked unbalanced .. I did try greying out the borders a bit .. but the image seemed to look better with them as white .. they may have been better a tad thinner tho ..

This is such an intriguing image. It looks like a single three section window, but it captures an instantaneous procession of time. All at once you're seeing a moment in a chronological spread. It's a mysterious and joyful feeling. And I like the scenes as well, pretty and prosaic, just another mind-bending morning. Bravo!

Watching time go by. I enjoy this kind of thing and use sequences in essays sometimes.

Nice and bright. I like the strong framing here!

Very nice sequence.

You can try to "punch up" colors under the Minimal rule set using the Unsharp Mask filter with a high-radius setting; in Photoshop you can start with (for a DPC entry sized image):
Amount=15%
Radius=50 pixels
Threshold=0

I love the framing with the windows. The saturated colors are beautiful as well.

A moment then a moment then a moment, it̢۪s all now and all we have, nice experiment and happy to see you enjoying it all. The golden line of what looks like leaves at the bottom of the window is my favorite part.
