Bad weather ruined my plans for the day so all I got was a few shots of my kitchen door handle. I find it quite difficult to come up with anything interesting at home... which is precisely why I need to look for more things to shoot here.

In addition to the comments about the shadows and the impact of black and white tones, I really like touches of light on the key and the handle. This has a classic and timeless feel.

Really appealing in its simple complexity. It's intriguing how the shadows so very much establish the impact of the image. The empty field on the right is made vibrant by the handle and its shadow, which shadow shimmers with parallel lines like a fingerprint. Handle and shadow become horns, talons, an embrace, etc.. The key, at its jaunty angle, seems to pass right through the door in its ghostly shadow. Well seen.

The shadow makes this a dynamic image, a door handle suddenly becomes tongs. Shadow-play can really fool ya.

Love the way the shadow perfectly bisects the door handle plate. Tonal range is handled well. Nicely done!

Your kitchen door handle wants to be independent and he̢۪s willing to rip your arm off for it, creepy.

Nice detail, focus, and composition. The shadow adds interest. The focal point and interest for me is the key. I might have cleaned up the wall, where the dirt specks don̢۪t seem to benefit the image.
