I gave it a 10. I love it. This man looks like a man with authority. He's eyes seem so full of wisdome and his face in combination with the shadows and the sephia/b&w make him so calm. As if he knew what could happen and how to react. So sure of him self but in a good way. One of my favourites.
I swear I commented on this one.. :P Now where did my comment go :P |

Great exposure and focus/DOF -- I'd maybe like to dodge a tiny bit under the hat brim by his right eye. |

Very nice capture with authentic feel. Great action shot with willing model. Bumping to 6. |

Nice photo, good cropping and depth of field, and I like the sepia feel. His face seems just a little out of focus though. |

Good choice to desaturate. I would crop the picture to focus even more on the subject's face, the power in this picture. Cutting the horse's face in the middle is awkward. I like your use of shadow falling across your subject's face, giving him a certain hardened mystique that seems to go hand and hand with the cowboy image. I would like to see the focus a little crisper on the subject's face. |

Good portrait. You seemed to have captured the essence of your subject well. A+ |

Nice DOF. You might have cropped the horse's eyes away. Showing them makes me want to see the whole of its head. It distracts a bit from the main subject, which is of course the rider. I like the superiority in his face. Perhaps that's just because of the moustache. I don't want to hurt anyone, but did you notice that most dictators have mustaches? |

i see a nice image of a guy on a horse, but not seeing anything that really conveys authority. |

The softness is ok, but witha sepia, or aged toning, would be great, with the b/w, it doesn't help. Going sharper with grain, would be good for b/w. |
