 For the May 2019 Gratitude Side Challenge

I am grateful for Spring. In California this year, it's a powerful reminder of the resilience of nature. Although for the past two years, there have been signs that our decade long drought was fading, this year we had over 100% of the average annual rainfall in less than 10 months. Lakes and reserviors are returning to near capacity in our county and the rains have been consistently under the threshold that would risk flooding. I know this isn't the case in other parts of the country, but for me, this year is reminiscent of the years of lush green springs that I remember from my childhood.

This is beautiful.
I so understand being grateful for rain. I thought only when you live in Africa do you get those emotions - clearly I was wrong.
I love the way you recognize and salute the resilience of nature.

amazing colours .. breathtaking ..
and it seems that your drought has passed ..
we are still in drought .. the worst for many years .. fear of bushfires is top of the list of things not to grateful lol .. :)

Lovely image. Congratulations, if that's the proper word, on your and California's bountiful spring. Reminds me, but for the color, of the poppy field before Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz.
