 I really didn't know the exact meaning of "avant-garde" until I searched for it.


This actually turned out better than I had orginally thought I could do. I'm pleased with it.

My model agreed to come... I put the head stuff on a tight hat and had it ready for her. We did her makeup with regular acrylic paint and shot... all in less than an hour! Six minutes of shooting.

Stuff never comes this easily for me when I'm shooting.

She's a dream to work with and a sweet young woman. (She used to date one of my sons, and they're still friends.)

AND... I got the bird and eggs at 90% off (just after Easter)! Win!

A possibly interesting tidbit: The background was a white sheet with wrinkles in it. I was too lazy to iron it.

That's what caused the odd colors in waves on it. I didn't change them. I couldn't reproduce that effect on purpose if I tried for a year. Ha!

The avant-garde, from French, "advance guard" or "vanguard", literally "fore-guard") are people or works that are experimental, radical, or unorthodox with respect to art, culture, or society.

BRILLIANT .. i googled avant-garde .. some crazy images came up ..
this really satisfies the challenge .. i like her non-expression .. it contrasts with her extremely exciting headgear .. !! . :)
