Thank you for all the wonderful comments, I am so happy this was well received. The face of the moon is my husband, my reluctant model. I transformed his image over the moon shape I drew in PS and then distorted his nose and mouth. The image is appropriate for him, as he is not only a wonderful mate but also my best friend and my rock; I can always lean on him.

I commented on this after voting... I said something about Congratulations on having such a great "moon" to lean on in life and on having won this challenge by a landslide.

So fun.

I only came back to look again because... I love it so much.

And then saw my missing comment. Was it erased?

Hmmm....

Holy crap you've gotten good!! I'd have no idea how to begin to do the moon!

I just told Judi that she should do a tutorial for her shot. You definitely should do a tutorial for this one!

She's so safe and serene tucked beneath the crescent moon's chin. The sleeping moon's countenance makes the image. What's fun is how the crescent exists on its own rather than merely a phase, as clouds and stars shine through where its body ought to be. A sweet, lovely picture.

My only ten.

I did this with my daughter once. It's still one of my favorite images of mine.

Well done on your part! So beautiful!

I love the stars and how peaceful the whole of it is...

*contented sigh*

I do wish there were just a bit more shadow on her right side... hidden from the stars... to match the moon.
