This is not a real rose - it's a silk rose very dark red in color. A Topaz Studio preset was used to hide that fact - however in the upper center of the rose there is a petal with a number of lines in it that I left in to give away the secret. Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments and votes.

This is more low key, imo than some of the other flowers. Mostly darks with a few highlights and things disappearing into the shadows.

I think the light, perfection of the rose, drama of the colors are all excellent. I'm a fan of painterly filters but for some reason I think this might have been better before you applied it. Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few.
