 This is an urban Red Fox (Vulpes Vulpes) that I have named Gorgeous. She was down by another photographer (about 30 yards) and when I layed on the ground it peaked her interest. So she immediatly started coming towards me. When she got close (this photo has basically no crop) she started jumping around and getting low to the ground. Reminiscent of when a puppy plays with you when you are laying on the ground. This behavior went on for about a minute, ended because she took off into the woods when someone came down the trail on a bicycle. Photograph taken in Anchorage, Alaska, USA.

I want to thank everyone for all the comments, it really means a lot. I normally respond to everyone but I work up this morning with a 101.7 temperature, so don't have any energy. It is almost 4pm here and this is the first time I have gotten out of bed.

I am super excited because I have been trying to get a Blue Ribbon in a free study for a lot time now. To do it with an image that has barely any editing in a best of a year extended editing challenge makes it all that better.

What a great picture! I am sure you treasure the experience too. It is so special when animals, especially wild animals take an interest in you (a positive interest of course :-)).
