I voted on this image and never got back to give you a comment, and I meant to. First, the colors on this shot are perfect, the timing is excellent with the tip of the flag folding over on itself, and the crop, with the flag itself as the subject is decent.
I voted you a six, with the above items foremost in my mind. What might get a better score is to crop so that the stripes are more prominent as Heather suggested below. Also, you might consider something like Neat image to take out a little noise and give a little sharpening that doesn't destroy the image.
One last thought: because this is an international site, it is generally hard to do well with an national flag, but, that said, this would be perfect for "Wind."
Good luck. |

Clearly meets the challenge. Focus of the moving flag is well done. Nice vibrant colors. Sky could be a bit more dramatic but with basic editing, there's not much you can do except wait for thunderstorms. I am as patriotic as the next guy, but the subject doesn't grab or hold my interest. |

There definately are 7 stripes, but I'm quite sure I feel that the stripes are your main subject. The main subject to me feels like the entire flag, and that would put you in the mind to expect 7 flags, but I am not too picky, so I get your point. lol. Just an observation really. The background is kind of bland, but that's not all bad because then there is nothing distracting there either. Focus seems ok. ~Heather~ |

Challenge: "Photograph 7 of the MAIN subject". Great shot, but I wouldn't consider the RED stripes to be the MAIN subject. |

nice tight shot. you have to use really fast shutter speeds with flags flapping in the wind to totally freeze all movement. and, the upper right corner is a little motion blurred. the other way to go is to intentionally blur more of the flag with a lower speed. |
