I thought all week about seven, seven what??? Had several ideas I trashed and then on the last day I thought about seven of my favorite books--hence 7 books of wisdom. Wanted the shot to look like my night table next to my bed so I just used a lamp above the books for lighting. B&W looked better than the color so I went with that. I don't expect a high score, but wanted to enter the challenge.

Nice contrast in B & W and great book titles - I like this a lot. 8.

Nice composition, too much constrast, oversharpened.

I wonder if anyone is going to be a jerk enough to count the noteBOOK as a book, and say you don't meet the challenge. lol. Some people amaze me these days with how picky they are with these challenges. Anyway, I like the feel of this photo. Looks very educational. Focus and clarity are good, and the angle and framing/cropping are good as well. I like the darkness of the photo, but the brightness of the whites. makes it interesting that way. I would not remove or add anything to the photo. I like the cup and glasses, and it is not too busy, but gives the eyes lots to look at. nice. ~Hether~

Nice picture there. Btw, do you really read all of them. Wow. :)

I really like the composition here and the use of B&W is very well done.

Nice b/w on this enlightening study. Good luck.

Not to be negative about your photo, because it's a good photo, and it's not even a negative comment, but why do eyeglasses always make into a photo like this? I did it myself in another challenge. Every photo with books on a desk or table has to include eyeglasses. Again I'm not being negative, just wondering aloud. Nice idea and composition. But like I'm starting to tell others, there's no need to include "seven" in the title. In this case, "Books of Wisdom" would have more impact. We know it's seven. There's also some kind of weird blur going on with the words, especially with the "A" in Gandhi. At least on my screen.

I like this in BW.

interesting study. contrast seems a bit severe for it - a little crunchy. maybe try a different method to convert to grayscale?

like the grayscale, nice shot
