Have been thrilled to hold at above a 7 for nearly a week. However, at less than a day before roll-over, the tumble begins. It's now at 7.0 (4:30 p.m. Eastern, Sept 6) Ah well.

The last two days were rocky, rocky. Good to see voting end when it did LOL Managed to bump an image from my Profile line-up :)

Thanks for the votes and lovely comments. Actually, the black and white was a no brainer on this one - it was black and white and what little background color there was would only, IMO, have been a distraction from its wings.

I think I got very lucky. I'd never seen a dragonfly like this, so I did a little research. Pretty sure it's a black saddlebags. It's large and, according to several sources, rarely pauses; this one sat beautifully for me.
