 The concept for this picture had been in my head for a while. This challenge seemed to be a good opportunity for me to try it. This time taking the picture was as challenging and time consuming as constructing the props. After making the house and putting the composition together I realized that with the red roof and car I could use this for the “Complementary Colors” challenge. Instead of snow, I had the grass and trees as a backdrop in my backyard. I took several pictures and liked the result, but couldn’t get past my original idea of using the setup in the “flour challenge”. This required an entirely different set up and many more attempts before I got the flour blowing on the setup and the sky background the way I had imagined it. All in all I am very happy with the final result. It makes me appreciate the effort that professional compositional photographers put into their work on a daily basis.

I think you shouldâve had a white background to set the scene, looks lilac to me, but great idea.
