I am very honored to be here with the works of true masters! :-)
This photo actually was not taken for DPC. My daughter's friend from a dance class is half Dutch, and I noticed the resemblance with Vermeer's girl on one of the photos from the rehearsal. Her mom loved the idea of trying to recreate the painting! I believe one of the canvases she printed is in Holland, in the girl's grandparent's house.
Here's the beginning of the project, the end, and of course the inspiration.

We Had A Forger of NZ Art called Carl Sims who did very well with his copies of Original NZ. Art Mainly Portraits of Maori chieftains, untill he was caught,Carl Sims. he work which was treated as original. He lived up the road in a little town called Foxton, they made Him a Hero for putting the town on the map !!!!!!!!!
