i'm totally blown away by the reception this image has received .. and nearly didnt enter it in the challenge as i felt it wasnt perfect enough for the voters ..

i was actually shooting insects in the grass and noticed this thistle which had survived being pulled out as they are considered a pest where i live ..

of course i thought of textures .. the spider's webs were an added bonus ..
i lined up my shot so that some yellow fireweed flowers were oof in the background .. not that easy as it was a bit windy ..

its 5 hours till rollover .. and i'm sitting on 7 atm .. no matter what happens in the intervening hours i'm very happy ..

I'm one of your 10's and you're my "other" 10 - gave one to the Blue, too, and simply could not choose between these two, very different images. Beautiful work, Roz. Congratulations on the Yellow.
