Inspired by the PF song, Time. Wanted to do a song with the theme of time passing, always a prominent PF theme.
Almost didn't do this shoot because I was feeling a bit discouraged by the lack of true inspiration. Then, as I was sorting through some chunks of wood, I found a piece with a knothole in it and the knothole itself, and the bands radiating out from it, pretty much screamed to me: 'What a perfect semi-psychedlic trippy Pink Floyd sun! You MUST do this shoot!' :-)
Once I scared up my old-school alarm clock and began taking pics, I soon had the sun/clock combo and the rays in place.
Now, I needed a runner and a suitable stretch of road; the road was just a few minutes drive away. A post on FB to a local community group requesting a runner for a sunset shoot, that evening, turned up the perfect model in Brittany, who gamely ran, sprinted, arm-pumped and jumped while I shot. There was a window of only about 30 minutes in which to get the shot, and we got it fairly quickly.
So happy with the final result, hopefully will see it on the front page.
pp: all work except final NIK done in Affinity. Crop, vibrance, clone, dodge, burn, paint, perspective warp on the runner, resize, flatten, NIK detail extractor and NIK out-sharpen.

These rays are phantasmagorical. I had no idea how you achieved them, until I read your notes. Great idea! And also, I love the very dynamic composition, perfectly suited for the song!
