Collection: 2021
Camera: DJI Mavic Air 2

Set the drone up to hover over and behind me. First time I've ever launched and recovered the drone by hand. That was a little nerve wracking. I hadn't thought that part out when I went to this spot (not having a clear area large enough to launch, and land, the drone from the ground).

Wish I had used my other lens for the "photographer". Had the 70-200 on the camera and it's not showing up as well as I had envisioned. The 70-400 (in silver) would have made it more obvious what this "person" is doing lying on the ground - maybe. :-)

Thought about "removing" my camera bag in post - the black object next to me, but figured it's presence might help with the story. I'm wearing a mosquito head net and gloves, which might make it a bit confusing. Had to do it though, it's swampy in spots back here and the mosquitos can be quite pesky!!!

One of the first things I notice when I started looking at these is that the camo pattern really doesn't work in this fern bed. :-}

First thing my wife says to me when I show this to her ... "oh, it's a nice picture of your bum". LOL

I love the image and... the fact that it got the Blue.

But, what I love most is that your wife thinks your bum is cute. :D

You're a success!

:D

Cool shot Barry, congrats! I was afraid to make a tiny planet out of my 360 deg drone panorama of a Mormon church in this challenge as I thought it would cross the line for the Standard ruleset, I guess I was wrong )).

By the way, I was pretty sure that your shot was of DistantColours in the process of taking his shot for this challenge (19th place). The setting is incredibly similar!
