 Had been trying to catch this female ruby-throated hummer feeding on our tiger lilies and she was being rather obstinate about letting me. Then she parked it on this unopened bud, as she had on others, and suddenly got lazy and reached down to try and feed from the bloom below. This was shot through a gap in a bunch of other lilies, so I was fortunate both to see and be able to frame it. I'd only been shooting with the Canon R5 for a couple weeks and was already impressed with the focus system, but when I saw the details here it justified the cost of a system switch.

i've only seen three pics in this challenge so far .. but this looks blue to me .. cant imagine anything topping it .. its a stunning and beautiful image and so appealing .. and absolute WOW .. :)
