comment by hidden during voting that the birds don't look real ..
they're noisy minors that come and drink and bath in my birdbath ..
it was a last minute entry .. I didn't think it would go that well .. wanted them flying .. but I couldn't be bothered waiting around as they only come to the birdbath occasionally during the day ..

this is a composite of them in action .. which took three or four days to capture all the photos I wanted ..

3 hours and 50 mins approx till rollover .. and i'm gobsmacked that this is doing so well .. 7.0444 and 6 comments ..
felt i'd be lucky to get in the top 10 .. thankyou so much .. :)

Congratulations
I am unfamiliar with this type of bird. They are adorable in your images and in B/W they can almost look cartoonish.
Very nice choice for this challenge.

Congrats on the blue! I had remembered the composite and loved it but didn’t remember that it was yours. Such expressive birds. I could watch them all day long! What a terrific capture:)
