I started on this with a few hours to go (rollover is 4.00pm for me). I had to shoot outside because the light wasn't any good inside and also my background is in the garden. The dog wanted to get in on the act so my husband put up a temporary gate, and cut his head on it. At first I only used one dead critter, the top bird. I shot a few shots and uploaded them, decided it wasn't enough. When I went out to try again the sun had come out and there were harsh lights and shadows, so that batch of shots failed miserably. I had to wait until the house shadow moved over the arrangement, and time was moving on. Anyway, I raided my corpse collection and added more bodies and got something I was a bit more satisfied about. One day I'll get the hang of starting on things a bit earlier.

My favorite part of your explanation (other than whether it was the hubby or the dog that cut his head on the gate) is "I raided my corpse collection..."

Tones and textures are wonderful. Most amazing at all is that you keep all these dead bodies around. Congratulations on the ribbon.

lots to look at and admire, almost like one of the hidden objects puzzles I used to do as a kid, I see a spider, two moths, two birds and a hornet
