Looks like a painting from the nineteenth century, a celebration of the dawning of the industrial era (maybe a bit late, but who's counting). The mainly yellow, brown and black palette is somehow made to seem gaudy. What then elevates this image, at least in my eyes, is the reflection of the fireworks display in the water. It's been transformed into a sea creature, a dragon or a fish from the deepest abyss. It's a wink, a nod to those who see past the pomp.

I know it̢۪s just fireworks but it looks like an explosion, well I guess fireworks are an explosion. I love the painterly look - probably Margaret. I gave you a seven. |
