I knew this was the winner as soon as I laid eyes on this image. Almost kicked myself because I originally had submitted a photo of aâ€Â¦. Actually I’m not going to mention it just in case I enter it in another challenge. But you have probably heard me say that many times. Quite astonishing how often you will enter a photo of something I originally intended to do.
Clearly the sepia version is far superior.

congratulations on the blue Lev ..
after looking at the colour and this black and white .. i much prefer this one ..
there's something about black and white images that can evoke an emotional response .. more so than colour for me .. especially when the scene or image lends itself to that feeling ..
i love the way you have cropped this with the tables and chairs leading to the solitary lady eating .. bent over her meal ..
your street photography is up there with the 'masters' as far as i'm concerned .. :) |

| you have taken me into another world .. one that appears much more difficult .. outwardly .. than the one i inhabit .. of course you can live in paradise and feel life isnt worth living .. this is an emotive and exceptional image in every single way .. perfect in black and white .. :) |
