 I had an idea of what i wanted in this challenge and this shot pretty much sums it up.

i wanted a yellow rose on a yellow backround(as close to the color yellow of the rose)

i wanted it to almost seem as if the rose was formed from the backround as if eached in to it and braught to life(no i was not on pt when i had this idea).

i found a yellow file folder that matched the color as good as anyother backround i looked at, then i

set it up by poking a hole in the folder with the stem and laying the entire thing flat suspended between my desk and a chair back, i then

lit it from 2 oposing sides and took the image top down it turned out as u see it above.

there was no post editing stuff done other than down sizing to 150kb.

I think a different BG would do this better, as I'm sure many have commented already. light blue/cyan? or plain old white/black? or, maybe best idea, some colour and then desat to grey. yes, do that for me :) /7

My top one that I have seen. Beautiful lighting, and colors...it even has an expression from the flower. Very cool! 10

I love the detail of the pedals in this shot. I also think the yellow background is great, as I see other higher contrast backgrounds in other yellow flower shots. The delicate shadows bring out good detail on the pedal surfaces.

I saw another yellow rose in this challange with a contrasting background. It brought the flower to life. Like this shot, but feel the yellow background dulls the flower somewhat.

I love this. I am going to have to build a tabletop studio. Another light from the front just to illuminate the center of the rose would be nice. Now was it just a yellow light or a yellow rose? An 8.

I like your choice to do something different with this flower. The light source and the floating effect enhance so that they add to, rather than distract from, this image. Nice shot. Normally, I would think that the background so close in hue to the subject wouldn't work to showcase the flower, but you make it work very well. Stunning shot.

I like it, but there's just not enough contrast in my opinion. Nice lighting though. Pretty rose though. Peace.

Looks orange-reddish to me... Otherwise pretty boring, both the subject and the composition.
