 Used natural morning light, cloudy day. Black cardboard in the background. I tried several different backgrounds: white, red, green and blue. I liked this one the best. I'll post the outtakes if you'd like to see them.

Nice composition and DOF. Prehaps might have been better, zoomed in closer to get texture effects.

Clarity, colour, dof are just awesome in your photograph. I really like how the yellow flower stands out infront of the black background. Excellent job and GL.

This is very centered.... I think it would have been more effectual if you had cropped off some of the black on the right. Excellent focus here and detail, I love your DOF... I also like your siolid black background, it makes the sunflower pop out and look 3-d. Nice job, just try cropping a bit. -8-

Perfect flower. Focus is great. Colour is right on. That leaf to the left is a little distracting though.

This is the best flower of the lot in this challenge, the focus is perfect. The blur in the background is exactly right and the balck background excellent. You have to be proud of this photo. The composition is very good and the lighting as well, good job!

Good work - The flower has great focus and colour and the lighting is fairly good. Personally I find the leaves and stem a little distracting - especially the leaf on the left.
