Thank you for the kind words everyone! I felt a bit cheeky slotting this in last minute instead of an (arguably inferior) shot I'd entered a couple of weeks before. On the one hand I'm glad the series was generally liked buy everyone and that the day was so successful. On the other I now feel like Marge and the Chanel suit in that episode of the Simpsons and my next task is to mix up my profile as the top 3 shots are now all from the same series. Eek!
I love a challenge though, here's to creating something different and maybe surprising in the next couple of weeks :) |

I love that you commented about it as well. I hope you print it and never forget the spot or the moment. |

I assume this is a Rankles? Best one so far. I liked the placement, the horizon not centered. Though I would be curious to see just the left half cropped in and down. The hills and the trees on the left are just about perfect. I love the detail that's almost a filigree of the trees against the hills. Everything about the left is stunning. The right is nice, too, but sits a bit heavy to me. Though lightening it wouldn't work, imo, because it is a much heavier scene, and lightening it would look fake. -8- |

I very much like this composition. Subjectively, the blue cast seems......off a tad, but if ti was like that, so be it. 6 |

Another extremely gorgeous shot from Rankles I'm guessing. So peaceful, makes me want to be there. The soft wispy clouds and the tree lined background is just perfect. Then there's the lone fisherman who seems to have paused momentarily in time. A truly wonderful image. Should do well for you. |
