 Fell flat on my face in the river, kit and all, crossing the damn thing to get this shot. Wasn't worth it.

Ha! The irony was not lost when this started to do relatively well...

The gear really impressed me to be fair. Everything was in my Manfrotto backpack which is water repellant - not waterproof - but did the job nicely. The tripod has a few battle scars on the head from where it bounced off a rock but it's otherwise perfect despite being underwater for ten minutes or so while I got my main kit to a safe space.

Just my pride was hurt :D now I know to bring wellies and not try to use a tripod as a walking stick at least.

Love the sentiment and motivation, but even though the image is very pretty, I feel it is a bit flat, and lacks that extra oomph that most of these posters have.
