I took this picture of my friend, Melina: one of the most beautiful people I know. She looked into a broken mirror, one that I just happened to accidentially step on while looking for it on the morning I took the picture. That gave me the idea. Thank you to Melina, who was a very patient model.
I cropped and used unsharp mask, used selective desaturation, and adjusted the brightness and contrast. I like the way the broken glass looks almost like a string of diamonds so that look is intentional

I actually like the shot, but do not understand what is supposed to be said with the selective desat. It doesn't seem to fit the image or the title. It's an element that doesn't make sense.

I think this is the most beautiful picture. You are an absolute genius! I couldn't love it more!

Nice composition, I like the broken reflections. I am not sure if soft focus is intended, but I'd like to see at least one shard with sharper focus.

Extremely emotive and well-composed piece that melds art with photography. The woman's eye is caught with just the right perspective to lead us into thinking what has happened in her life or sight.

This is the perfect photo for this challenge. I like the focus on your subject and not on the cracks or threads. The title is perfect. Stunning and overwhelming. Very nice!

Liked it in thumbnail size - up close is a bit overwhelming.

I like the idea and the composition but I find it distracting to have such soft focus.

A brave abstract attempt... not sure about the blurriness.
