Very nice shot. Not really dispair, but I won't mark you down for it. Great colors, are they natural? 8

Interesting coloration, did you turn up the red value (maybe a few degrees too much)? This might be a dangerous aspect of this sport, but still, it is a sport, so I can't quite say this is really dispair. Fantastic timing! 5 Swash

unclear?

i like the red color, good job

Great capture! Did you ask him to do that? Love the colours here, and you managed to freeze the surfer in mid air which isn't all that easy I know. Bringing in all that foreground has really increased the impact in this image, choice!

Nice photo. The reds seem a little strong.

Great colours.

Frustration maybe, but this does not convey "despair" to me. Really do not like the overall orange/red/yellow color of the photo, it seems very harsh.

You caught some great colors here! The composition is fantastic, too. The placement of the surfer in the upper left third is perfect and makes us focus on the problem: the waves and ocean. rather than despair, it looks fun! But maybe that's because I was once a surfer (when I lived in So. Calif.)!

Looks more like frustration than despair to me, but it's cool to have a shot of a surfer on the Red Sea!!!!

good image, i like the color of the sunlight bouncing off the water

I'd be in despair if I had to swim in water that was that color! :)

Great capture! The tones and stopped motion are very good. This would have also worked well for the Stock contest

The warm colours transform despair into something else - perhaps regret? It's hard to put the emotion into words - sorry! Otherwise an excellent shot!
