 to get the soft focus affect I photographed the grasshopper through blades of grass ... it creates what i felt was a soft focus effect ..

i'm hoping that ppl will think this fits the challenge even with the focus still on the grasshopper ..

i did feel that the soft focus everywhere else made it fit ..


with an hour till voting i realized i had several other photos to choose from that i took for the challenge that might have fit the challenge better ..

then i got an occular migraine and couldnt see properly .. so editing something else was out ..

why do i get lightbulb moments when a pic has already gone in for voting .. or when i have no time or ability to change it .. :(

Love the image Roz, colour comp., however, I don't see the "soft focus" on the grass hopper. To see this looks like a macro with a pretty wide open lens
