 My Mom and Dad were big on "junking"... going to antique shops.

They used to take my brother and me with them.

We hated it.

So, when I had children, I took them to Home Depot.

They hated it.

Life. Happens. :)



The sewing machine's made by Willrox and Gibbs. In 1883.

They paid $50 for it in 1965. I was four.

I have the letters she wrote about it to her mom.

It has a gorgeous wood cover that goes over the machine. It all sits in our living room today.

I've never had an "Aunt Esther"... I just thought it was a good title.

My hubby had an "Aunt Esther". I guess that's why I thought it was a good title. :)
