Macro of a small lightbulb laying on a coated sheet of paper in strong sunlight. The sunlight created a great looking combination of shadows and reflections.
I couldn't avoid the strong reflection inside the bulb. It was either that or a lot of even more disturbing refelections on the outside of the bulb.

I could see this in a stock photo book. Great lighting & contrast. You might want to clone out the text on the light bulb. Great job.

Thanks for the votes and comments.
I'm not a stock-photographer so I didn't even think about the disturbing factor of the text on the bulb. I can see it now though, so thanks for pointing it out.

Neat shadow! I like this photo, although it seems a little confusing. I think it could work as a stock photo.

a very simple idea ... i like it .. enough room for text ... something dealing with new ideas :)

Great stock photo, I surely would use this one. Amazing how you got that shadow looking like that. Without that shadow there this image wouldn't be half as good as you have captured it here. That's not the shadow of this light bulb is it. Good illusion. Well done!

Excellent shot and very usable for stock.

The shadow is too complex and distracting I think -- and the fact that part of it is INSIDE the lightbulb oul make this a very difficult picture to use.

Good stock image, I would opt for a bit more of negative space on top and make it vertical; nevertheless could sell as stock.

Good exposure and well composed picture. I like the shadows although they almost overpower the bulb. For use as a stock image, I would turn the bulb so that the writing is not visible. The writing might limit the general appeal to some photo buyers. I can think of several ways to set this up but I'd like to know how you did it. Very good.

Very good photo. I am still wondering how you got the lightbulb to stand while it's tilted, and the reflection is off balance with the bulb. I guess that's what makes it a nice photo.

This is a great and interesting shot. I love the shadowing. Cool idea.

Those shadows are super distracting. The bulb is so clear and fairly nicely lit and it's a shame you have this big shadow in the middle of your picture.

This gets the first "10" ive ever given, out of almost 3,000 votes!

An interesting image indeed. For perfection, I would have tried to remove the text off of the side of the bulb, though... I can think of quite a lot of stock photography usage where "made in france" would be a problem. (7)
