 we live rural ..
a married couple .. Ian and Kay .. lived down the end of our road and into the bush ..

their driveway is about 2 kms long and you need a four wheel drive to get to their house .. they lived sorta off the grid ..

they are now in their 80's and the place had become too much especially if something happened with their health ..

so they moved to Picton which is our nearest town ..

i went and visited them with my sister-in-law Cathy yesterday .. and Kay showed me around their house ..
its really nice .. plants everywhere and so warm and friendly ..

she even had a little soft toy where there was a step so ppl would notice the step and not fall over ..

of course I pretended to fall going down the step .. I mean .. who wouldn't .. ;)

anyway one of the rooms Kay showed me was the bathroom ..

i saw a very small umbrella tree on the window sill ..

i asked her if it was a bonsai .. she wasn’t sure .. but its the smallest umbrella tree i’ve ever seen .. ;)

i have no window sills in my home and was going to give this challenge a miss ..

that was until Kay showed me into their bathroom .. of course i thought of this challenge ..

i didnt want to be rude and start taking photos so i asked her if i could .. for this challenge ..

she was very kind and said yes .. i didn't move anything to get the photograph ..

she also showed me other places i could take photos ..

i only had my phone with me … but its a great standby and sometimes takes better photos than my ‘proper’ camera ..

anyway .. i love it when ppl give us the backstory that went with their photograph .. it makes it so much more personal and takes us into their lives ..

of course we can decide for ourselves the story we want to attach to a pic .. but sometimes its great to read the events or thoughts that went into creating it ..

so that’s why i put a little story with my photos .. this one isn’t so little .. !! .. ;)

hopefully some ppl enjoy reading them like I do .. :)

This was my fave in the challenge. Such delicate flowers. Ephemeral.

Oh the things you do to find a window sill lol.

You did an amazing job with the edit. Loving the heavy high contrast and the simplicity of this image, well done on the blue.
